Promoting physical activity to improve the outcome of depression in later life (Activedep)

The aim of the ACTIVEDEP study is to determine whether a general practice-based physical activity intervention can reduce the prevalence of depression among older Western Australians. The study has the potential to improve the quality of life of older Western Australians by producing new information that could decrease the burden of depression in this age group, and enhance the ability of GP's to promote physical activity to older adults.
