Busselton Health Study linked data project - physical activity and chronic disease

This study will utilise 1994/95 survey responses to questions on participants’ level of physical activity to investigate the effects of physical activity on various hospitalisation, cancer or death outcomes after adjustment for demographic variables and potential confounding variables. The population-based nature of the Busselton Health Study along with the vast array of information related to potential confounding factors will enable a novel investigation into the effects of physical activity on various chronic conditions in a subset of the Western Australian population.
